FY2026 Kanagawa Prefecture Existing Housing Energy-Efficiency Renovation Subsidy

Overview

Renovation of windows facing the outside (including entrance doors) is mandatory; renovation of walls, ceilings, and floors is optional. Eligible products are windows, glass, and insulation materials registered under the national subsidy program. Applications must be submitted before the grant decision, and construction must begin after the grant decision.

Eligibility

How to Apply

Apply electronically or by mail. In-person submission is not accepted. Mail submissions should be sent to the designated address (2F Nihon Keizai Shimbun Yokohama Bureau Building, 1-2 Honcho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa).

Required Documents

• Grant application form (Form 1)
• Project plan (Form 1, Attachment 1)
• Copy of estimate, etc.
• Copy of the grant recipient's certificate of residence
• Architectural drawings of the eligible home
• Copy of certificate of registered matters (building)
• Copy of seismic standard compliance certificate (for buildings constructed before June 1, 1981)
• Photos of the renovation site's current condition
• Documents on profit exclusion (if applicable)
